Broad Chain Stitch

Also called Reverse Chain Stitch.
A good stitch for outlining an area or motif. It is straight forward and can be worked very rapidly. For a smooth result try to keep each stitch the same length. Short stitch lengths allow Broad Chain Stitch to curve and curl smoothly. Broad chain stitch can be used as a substitute for Chain stitch in most designs.
